Our Research Center started its activities in 2001 as a first academic business ethics institution of Turkey.
The aims of HUEM are to promote business ethics, organize academic meetings, projects and publishing activities in Turkey.
By the authority given by EBEN Excom and issued regulation by Turkish Official Newspaper (15.01. 2001/24288), HUEM is entitled to represent EBEN in Turkey as EBEN-TR.
EBEN-TR is not a society or trust but a voluntary working group under coordination of HUEM. As a separate body from HUEM, all financial matters of EBEN-TR are conducted by the "Hacettepe University Department of Business Administration Alumni Trust". The director of HUEM also represents presidency of EBEN-TR. This procedure is important to prevent any possible manipulation to the discipline of business ethics from business firms and NGOs sponsored by business firms.
